Time for a break...

So that’s it… We are now closed for lessons for a two week summer break! All of the SFAA instructors would like to say a huge thank you to everyone for attending classes and supporting us this summer - we hope you’ve had fun in your classes and we certainly think you’ve all earned this break!

As we know that you will all miss us lots over the next two weeks, we thought it would be a good idea to introduce the school and the instructors to you one by one. All of you know a few of the instructors, but might not know the others so well,  and you may not know quite how much experience and training they all have!

To begin with we thought it would be nice to introduce our home venue - where SFAA as it is now - was born. JD Studio, run by the one-and-only Julie, opened it’s doors in September 2012, so coming up for it’s 5th birthday now! Some of our students were even there for it’s opening weekend! Prior to the current location, Julie used to run pole lessons in other venues around Southampton, including Millbrook, Shirley and Hamble.

The current studio in Sholing has gone from strength to strength and it provides a safe environment for dance and fitness classes for adults and children. SFAA offers the majority of it’s classes from JDS but many other businesses also use the space, including a gorgeous beauty salon - Blush. Other exciting classes on offer include: boogie bounce, street dance, irish dancing, breakdancing, disco, maraca jacks and ballet (to name a few!) so there is always something new to try! The studio also offers a party service for children’s and adults’ parties, including a fully licensed bar! JDS prides itself on being a pillar of the community and frequently hosts charity events, kids activity days and much more!
